4 Mechanics Most New Players Miss

Knowing these early is the difference between fast and slow progression — none are clearly explained in-game.

Full beginner guide
⬆️
Progression system
Ascension

Raises your level cap and boosts XP gain. Ascend as soon as you qualify — ignoring it locks your growth in mid-game. Open the menu before every long grind session.

🛡️
Combat — red indicator
Parry with F

When a red indicator flashes, press F to parry. Blocks damage and staggers the enemy. Nearly required for the Dwarf King boss. Practice on normal enemies first.

💎
Potion crafting
Elemental Shards

Add an Ice, Fire, or Dark Shard at the end of a recipe for ~50% boost toward that element. Dark is the strongest element — Legendary potions deal massive damage. Farm Dark Shards from chests and elite enemies.

📊
Stat allocation
Attack + CDR

Best stat spread is Attack + Cooldown Reduction. Killing faster means less damage taken. Farm the Dwarf King boss for the best gold income — use gold for Ascension, wands, and gear upgrades.

Wizard Alchemy has races, potions, elemental shards, Ascension, parrying, quests, and boss farming. Do these steps first to avoid the common mistakes.

Redeem all 5 active codes: RELEASE, WIZARD, 17kCCU, SPELL, MACHI.

Open Settings → Utilities → Type Here → Claim. RELEASE and WIZARD give Race Rerolls. 17kCCU gives milestone Rerolls. SPELL gives 2 Dark Shards + 2 Light Shards. Codes are NOT case-sensitive. Do this before anything else.

Reroll Human immediately, then read the tier list before spending more.

Your starting race is Human — it has zero bonuses. Reroll it. Then pause and check the tier list before spending more rerolls. If you land Thestrals (1%, S-tier), stop. Any A-tier is a great result. Werewolf (B-tier) is a comfortable early stop.

Learn the core loop: Collect → Brew → Fight → Upgrade → Ascend.

Collect ingredients from the world. Brew potions at your cauldron to unlock stronger spells. Fight enemies using spells. Collect gold and materials. Upgrade your wand. Ascend when you qualify (raises level cap and XP gain). Repeat. Do not fight enemies above your Magic Power level — check the Index menu first.

Practice parrying with F before fighting the Dwarf King.

When a red indicator appears in combat, press F to parry. Practice on normal enemies until it feels natural. The Dwarf King boss is the best gold-farming target in mid-game, but its attacks are very hard to survive without parrying.

Add Elemental Shards to your potions — prioritize Dark Shards.

Ice, Fire, and Dark Shards are found in world chests and dropped by elite enemies. Add a shard at the end of any potion recipe to increase the chance of that element by ~50%. Dark is the strongest element right now — Dark potions deal the highest damage and combo with Thestrals' Dark Elemental bonus.

Wizard Alchemy Wiki FAQ

What is Wizard Alchemy?

Wizard Alchemy is a Harry Potter-inspired Roblox action RPG by Muggle Academy. You play as a wizard-in-training: collecting ingredients, brewing elemental potions, unlocking spells, fighting enemies and bosses, and becoming the strongest wizard. The game is PvE-focused with a race system, Ascension progression, elemental shard crafting, and a parry-based combat mechanic.

What are the active Wizard Alchemy codes right now?

RELEASE (5 Race Rerolls), WIZARD (5 Race Rerolls), 17kCCU (Race Rerolls, May 18), SPELL (2 Dark Shards + 2 Light Shards, May 18), and creator code MACHI. Codes are NOT case-sensitive. Redeem in Settings → Utilities → Type Here → Claim.

What should I do after redeeming codes?

1. Check the tier list before spending any rerolls. 2. Reroll Human immediately — it has zero bonuses. 3. Stop at any A-tier race (Stellar Ambassador, Death Eater, Fiendish Demon, Ice Crystal). 4. Start the basic loop: collect ingredients, brew potions, unlock spells. 5. Ascend as soon as you qualify — this is critical for progression speed. 6. Learn to parry with F before attempting the Dwarf King boss.

What is the best race in Wizard Alchemy?

Thestrals is S-tier (1% rarity). It has 3 damage boosts: Disaster DoT effect, +20% Dark Elemental Damage, +10% Attack Power — plus +3% Move Speed, +10% Jump Height, and +30 Skill Speed. Claim all 3 codes for 15 rerolls and aim for Thestrals or any A-tier race. Death Eater (10% rarity) is the most realistically landable strong race with 10 rerolls.

What element is strongest in Wizard Alchemy?

Dark is currently the strongest element. It has access to Legendary potions that deal the highest damage in the game. The S-tier race Thestrals also gives +20% Dark Elemental Damage. Farm Dark Shards from world chests and elite enemies, then add them to potion recipes for the strongest possible spell output.

How do I parry in Wizard Alchemy?

Press F when a red indicator appears on screen. Correct timing blocks the incoming attack and staggers the enemy. Practice on Knife Goblins or Pickaxe Dwarves before attempting elite enemies or the Dwarf King boss. Parrying is mandatory at higher difficulty — enemies that can one-shot you are survivable with a well-timed parry.

What is the Ascension system?

Ascension raises your level cap and significantly increases XP gain speed. Access it from the Ascension menu when you meet the requirements. Ascend as soon as you qualify — skipping Ascension is one of the most common mistakes for new players and causes a noticeable progression wall in mid-game.

Is there an official Wizard Alchemy Discord?

Yes. Join at discord.com/invite/DvFR94pVFW. New codes, patch notes, and game news are posted there first. The community channels also have boss tips, build advice, and material farming routes from experienced players.

Is there a Wizard Alchemy Trello?

No official Trello has been confirmed by the Muggle Academy developers. Community-made boards exist but may have outdated race data, wrong potion requirements, or broken links. Use this wiki and the official Discord for accurate, current information.

What stats should I prioritize?

Prioritize Attack and Cooldown Reduction. Killing enemies faster reduces the total damage you take, making Attack the most efficient choice even from a survivability perspective. Health is helpful in the first hour or two, but experienced players switch to maximizing damage as soon as their race and wand can handle fights.
